A Message a Day Keeps the Darkness Away

There is a certain item we have in society that is constantly circulating throughout the world, during every single minute of every single day. It travels through the minds of many. These “items of significance” are able to bequeath to us the energy and the wisdom to overcome transgressions and challenges we all face in life. There are even ones that are able to resonate clearly with an individual, and those who let these items take hold in their thoughts are granted happiness as long as they never forget its true meaning that they, in turn, discovered.
 
Positive messages!
 
Lots of people own a ton of these motivational short-to-long sentences and have them decorated throughout their rooms. From “you make it happen” to “be thoughtful”, and even “sing as if nobody is listening, dance like nobody is watching, and live every day like it is your last.” (this one is my favorite). You can even find a similar message on a billboard after wandering through a shopping mall for a long time. Honestly, I am filled to the brim with positive messages and outlooks.
 
I mean, think about it! Why wouldn’t you have positive messages in your brain? Why wouldn’t you have those little shots of joy to keep you energized as you go about your daily life? They can also be seen in society as advertisements in order to get people into their store and buy their merchandise or sometimes, but that underlines their true meaning. If someone wants to spread joy to an insane amount of people, they would put a message like that on a billboard. Even in Hollywood, there are numerous positive messages coating the streets, and those, whoever put those messages there, are designed for one purpose: to help out somebody that is just feeling down about their day so that when they look to those, they can smile and forget about their so-called “gloom and doom”. Like inspiration from a cliche movie scene that accelerates the story to its resolution. Think of these outlooks and perspectives as our “angels in disguise”, you don’t think of them that much, but when you do, those phrases instantly become the item that lifts you high into the sky, figuratively.
Positive messaging can also have an effect on your health too. According to an article titled “Positive Self-Talk: How Talking to yourself is a Good Thing” by Kimberly Holland, she writes that having positive messages and outlooks can “increase vitality, reduce pain, better you physical well-being” and most importantly, “improve immune function”. So you see, it’s not just “words in your brain”. It means something more, deep down. Especially during this pandemic, these positive outlooks and perspectives are what is most crucial right now.
To sum everything up, I want you to think of one positive message that speaks to you, something that fills your body and mind with energy. It could be a message you took a picture of in the past or something you saw online. Look into that and see what you can find and what it can bring you right now. Find a positive message or even a quote that speaks out to you that ignites your drive. There are practically millions of positive messages out in the world, waiting for you to read them and remember them in your mind and even in your heart in order to help benefit your life. To encourage and help you to smile through the trouble.
 
What’s the downside? We are all stuck at home with barely anything to do, so why not spend a little time finding something that will make you feel better. There’s no point in feeling negative during this pandemic because that is not how we are going to beat this. We just have to stay positive and keep our hopes up nice and strong. So, go find some messages!
